Patio and walkway construction in St. Louis
A patio is the part of the yard you actually sit on. The stone or paver choice matters, and so does the base under it and the way water leaves the surface.
We build patios and walkways with natural stone, ledgerock, and paver systems, then connect them to lawns, beds, and steps so the hardscape does not look dropped onto the yard.

Materials
Natural stone and ledgerock suit older St. Louis houses and shaded yards where a patterned paver would look too new. Pavers are a good fit when you want a tighter joint and a more even walking surface. We will talk through color, joint size, and how the edge meets the lawn or a planting bed.
Walkways get the same attention as the patio. A path that is too narrow, or that holds water against the foundation, creates problems the planting cannot fix.
What we pair with a patio
Most patio projects need some grading first. Shade, a small seat wall, or a planted edge keeps the stone from feeling like a pad in the middle of the grass. Landscape lighting makes the space usable after dinner.
We do not build decks. If the project is a stone or paver patio, a walkway, or steps between levels, that is the work we do.

Questions we hear often
Do you build decks?
No. Patio and walkway work is stone, ledgerock, and pavers. If you need a deck, you will want a carpenter.
Can a patio be added to an older yard?
Yes. We grade the area, set the base, and tie the new surface into existing walks, steps, and beds.
Will the patio need lighting?
Not always. If you use the space at night, path and patio lighting is worth planning before the furniture arrives. Our LED fixtures are guaranteed for 20 or more years.
